Maritime Radio

The Maritime Radio course teaches emergency radio procedures and everyday operating techniques. Learn all about the uses of marine radios, choice of frequencies, operation, phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases, as well as Digital Selective Calling and the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System, (DSC/GMDSS). This complete package with CD, and the new Digital Selective Calling, will prepare you for the Restricted Operator Certificate (Maritime) with DSC Endorsement exam. To operate a maritime radio, you need the certificate. It's the law!

CPS MARITIME RADIO COURSE VHF/DSC 

Do you have your Maritime Radio Operator Certificate?

                Anyone operating a marine radio needs a Restricted Operator Certificate (Maritime) (ROC-M)  It's the law! This Marine Radio Course prepares you to acquire it: you will learn emergency radio procedures, as well as everyday operating techniques. Topics also include the uses of marine radios, choice of frequencies, operation, phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases, as well as Digital Selective Calling.

The course takes place in four  two hour sessions including review and two part exam, written  and oral. On successful completion, you will have earned your Restricted Operator Certificate (Maritime).

If you already have your ROC(M) but lack the Digital Selective Calling (DSC) endorsement, you can choose to register for that aspect only.

Course Fee:  $100.00.  Deduct $35.00 if you have the current manual and CD.  Second family member sharing manual and CD deduct $35.00  Exam only: $60.00
